Speak Out Against Hate cordially invites the community for a special FREE screening and discussion of the film:
Childhood 2.0
Thursday, April 16, 2026
6:30pm - 8:00pm
Sussex Academy, 21150 Airport Road, Georgetown, DE 19947
Childhood 2.0 explores how smartphones, social media, and constant connectivity shape students’ lives. Through interviews with teens across the U.S., it highlights online pressures like social comparison, cyberbullying, gaming, and the impact on mental health and relationships. It offers insight into students’ digital experiences and encourages conversations about healthy technology use.
The film is not yet rated and might contain material inappropriate for children under 13. It includes sensitive topics such as mental health challenges, online harassment, and exposure to inappropriate content. Viewer discretion is advised, especially for younger audiences. This screening aims to spark dialogue on supporting students in the digital age and will include a special bonus with Tatiana Jordan (Chief Parenting Officer at Bark Phones), who was featured in the documentary, joining the discussion virtually!
To support families attending with younger children, Sussex Academy student volunteers will provide a supervised space and activities for younger students while parents and older children enjoy the screening. Please RSVP by April 10 to plan for accommodations and refreshments.
